“Outer beauty pleases the EYE. Inner beauty captivates the HEART.”

It is commonly said that: “beauty is in the eyes of the beholder”;

What is this “Beauty” about?

What would you see in people that will make you say they’re Beautiful?

If you dig deep into the above questions, you’ll get to hear answers like: “she is tall, smart, handsome and fair“, “she has nice boobs, long hair and beautiful eyes“, … All these just hinges on the outward appearance that is easily noticeable. Being “beautiful” goes beyond physical characteristics. So, why are we so obsessed with outer beauty that we value it above inner beauty?

www.urbandictionary.com defines “Inner beauty” as generally a good person. Being kind, honest, and not just a phrase used for ugly people to make them feel better about themselves. Not all people who have inner beauty are “ugly”.

Eleanor Roosevelt quotes: “No matter how plain a woman may be, if truth and honesty are written across her face, she will be beautiful.

According to Audery Hepburn, the beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole, but true beauty in a Woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives and the passion that she knows. You may have noticed some people who physically, you can’t classify them as “beautiful,” but on the inside, they are pretty and also, pretty beautiful people who are on the inside, anything but good.  So what then are the signs of Inner beauty?

  1. She Seeks the good in others instead of looking for faults.

  2. She Lives in the present and not in the past or future

  3. She Shows kindness to herself and to those who deserves it

  4. She Attract beautiful and kind people who help her to grow

  5. She Respect boundaries and show respect to others

  6. She does Good to people who can never help her back

  7. She Focus on improving herself

“Beauty shouldn’t be about changing yourself to achieve an ideal or be more socially acceptable. Real beauty, the interesting, truly pleasing kind, is about honoring the beauty within you and without you. It’s about knowing that someone else’s definition of pretty has no hold over you.”
